  • Who is the Lumberjack?

I'm Lj. Nicholas Diak. I'm from the future. I chop evil trees down with my overly manly beard. I've traveled all the way back to your primitive time to share vastly superior technology that I hope won't literally blow your small minds. In the future we don't have paper, and trees are our mortal enemies because they got tired of us murdering them right in front of their families. The planet is also plagued with pterodactyls and they are even bigger jerk faces. You modern era natives don't know how good you've got it. You're biggest worry is Oprah Winfrey.

    But seriously,

I've been a story teller my whole life whether it is prose, fiction, nonfiction, lyrical, film, or sequential arts. The power words have always intrigued me. In a world that seems to have become very nihilist about words, I hope the stories I tell will act as a counter balance to that.

Um, what else? Oh, I worked as a freelance journalist and photographer for the Dayton Daily News for a while. And I was also rewarded one of those B.A. things from Wright State U. in English...not to brag or anything, but we all know what B.A. stands for. I'm currently working on my MBA, and I've also gotten several of my stories published, and have been published in Newspapers so I guess that makes me a big time, right? Right?....

And most importantly, I am saved by the grace of my beautiful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ :-)

  • The Mission

Two things have stood in my way more than any other. Them being:

    • My current mission is to not let either of these obstacles hinder me from accomplishing my dreams and goals any longer.

The Lj. Nick presented in "Lumberjack Nick Comics" is a completely different depiction of who I really am. But with that said, since childhood there has been two things I've wanted to be: A writer, and a super hero. This site is an attempt to do both.

I want to use the gifts I've been given to help others in need for the glory of my Lord and Savor. I have hosted different mission opportunities through this website in support of different orginizations. The fundraiser that I held for Target: Dayton! Ministries in November '09 brought it roughly $600 dollars in pledges.

I am currently starting work as a missionary in the Dayton area, and will be starting a blog called "BEaHERO". This blog will be filled with inspirational stuff that both myself and others have done for the glory of our God. I hope this blog will inspire others to seize every missional opportunity that God presents to them in their daily lives no matter how big or small.
